Your new favourite transitional spring shades
Our second gel colour edit of 2025, The Edit with Print by Sam consists of six specially chosen muted spring shades, handpicked Sam herself at the Glossify HQ. Featuring shades Glaze, Daffodil, Forget Me Not, Oud, Olive and Chilly. All shades now in our European HEMA-Free formula.
We caught up with Sam, content creator and founder of The Nail Dates, to learn more about her journey in the nail industry and the inspiration behind the colours she chose for her Glossify edit.
Tell us a little about yourself and your nail career to date.
I’m Sam, I’m 29, and I’m a content creator and founder of The Nail Dates - an online community for nail artists.
What began as a creative outlet in lockdown, quickly turned into a full-time career. I was fully booked within my first month of taking clients, and just two years later I took the leap into content creation full-time, working on hand models to create educational pieces for my own platform and brands.
These days, my time is split between running TND: planning in-person events, managing projects, hosting live sessions and keeping the community thriving - and working with brands on content creation. I’ve grown my platform not just through a love of nails, but through a real passion for helping others. This mix has opened the door to some incredible collaborations and opportunities in both content and education, and I’m just getting started, so super excited to see where the next 5 years takes me!
How did you go about selecting the six shades included in your edit?
Ahead of visiting the team, Joely (Glossify's Head of Brand) had created a Pinterest board with some ideas, and it was the dreamiest vibe. I instantly fell in love with the colour scheme she’d pulled together.
Think faded yellow walls with that rustic, holiday charm, with brown bikinis hanging on a line, bowls of blueberries, light and dark wash denim jeans with heels peeking out, sunflower fields and long winding sun-soaked blue pavements with vintage cars driving along. It just gave this nostalgic, effortlessly cool feel. So we built the collection around that, and I think it's so perfect.
Altogether, the edit feels like a wearable moodboard of spring into summer, with colour choices that are versatile but still full of personality.

How do you see the shades being worn?
I see these shades being worn in so many different ways, which was really important to me when putting the edit together. Each colour can stand strong on its own, or can be paired up for something more playful.
The two blues, Forget Me Not & Chilly, feel like modern neutrals to me. I love the idea of them being worn in a full set with added texture - maybe a mix of matte and gloss finishes to bring out the denim vibe.
Olive and Oud are perfect for those who love earthy tones but still want something elevated, they look gorgeous worn as a block or french.
The pastel yellow, Daffodil, is such a mood-lifter. I can see it used as a pop of colour in mix-and-match sets alongside the olive & denim shades, or paired with the shimmery white for a soft, dewy look.
And that sheer shimmer? Glaze is the kind of shade that works with everything! It’s beautiful on its own for a clean-girl, glazed vibe, but it also layers perfectly over the other colours to add dimension.
Whether it’s a full set in one tone or a creative combo of three or four shades, I wanted this edit to give artists the freedom to play while still feeling cohesive and wearable.

Do you have any tips for pairing these colours together in nail designs?
For something super fun, pair Daffodil with Chilly and use Glossify's blooming gel, Smudge, and go for a snakeskin print, florals or even just some dots and you'll create a really cool set.
Another super cool look would be a french tip in all the shades. Go in the order of Chilly, Daffodil, Oud, Olive and back to Daffodil.
How do you hope this edit will inspire nail techs?
I hope my edit encourages nail techs to trust their creativity and have fun with colour again. I think we can get so caught up in trends or what's expected (lipgloss nails, barely there manis, clean girl aesthetics), that we forget to simply do what we love. This palette was built to remind us that colour can tell a story: your story, your client's story, or even just reflect a mood.
The shades are versatile, but not safe, and I love that. I want techs to feel confident experimenting with bold pairings, layering, and playing with contrast. Whether it's trying out new design ideas, creating fresh content or simply finding new a go-to combo, I hope this edit gives people permission to get playful and push their style a little further.
More than anything, I just want it to spark inspiration. Even if it's just one shade that makes someone go, "Ooh, I want to try something with that" then it’s done exactly what I hoped it would.

Do you have a favourite shade from the collection? If so, why?
Yes! I’m obsessed with Daffodil. Not only is it the perfect soft, sunny shade, but it's also quickly becoming THE shade of spring-summer, so being able to capture that within the collection at the perfect time feels awesome.
What excites you most about collaborating with Glossify on this project?
I’ve always admired Glossify’s aesthetic. I know a lot of people who feel the same, so that's no secret. Everything Glossify does feels on trend yet timeless, which really aligns with my own style.
Every drop just captivates me - I especially love their pastel shades. It's tough to find an all-rounder when it comes to pastels, but Glossify's are pigmented, glide on beautifully, and the formulas are a dream to work with. They tick every box.
I also love how thin and precise the brushes are! Paired with the perfect gel consistency, they make application of gel colours totally seamless.
It’s been such a natural fit and a brand I’ve genuinely loved for ages, so I'm super happy we had the opportunity to come together and build something amazing!
